Library Fair Poster Contest Results!

2014 Fair_Poster

The winner of the Ruth Keeler Memorial 2014 Library Fair Poster Contest has been announced!
Copies of this poster will be on sale at the Cooks & Books Party on Friday, May 9th.

All of the posters received were wonderful and imaginative. After much deliberation, the judging committee selected Richard Vail's poster.

Richard Vail was born and raised in North Salem and his mother lives here still. Vail is an old family name in the area. He is an architect and, in fact, works for the firm that designed the original library.  He wrote in an email sent to the library, “The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library has always been a special place for me, and it probably had some influence on my choice to become an architect.”

All the submissions will be on display in the library through the book fair and we encourage everyone to come in and see them. We plan on doing this again next year and we hope to have another group of submissions from equally gifted applicants.
